      For me personally, It’s harder with a gi. Without a gi? I can use the ouchi gari from the front head and arm position, collar ties, body locks, whizzers. Whatever tbh.

      Arrogance: “a manifest feeling of personal superiority in rank, power, dignity, or estimation; the exalting of one's own worth or importance to an undue degree; pride with contempt of others; presumption.” It’s kinda like the need to shit on a guy who is just being honest about how it makes almost all of us feel to lose to someone who we know we should beat.

    this is not what I expected, but is without question the most honest and accurate description of what happens when tapping to a lower belt... As a new blackbelt, one of the greatest revelations I've had is that black belts are not perfect. We really are human like everyone else.

    • @Seaofjitsu
      @Seaofjitsu 2 дня назад

      10000% I am an overdue for a promotion white belt. The worst story I had was when I tapped a purple belt out and I thought I was doing good but then all the purples belt friends started making fun of him. I was like we are all just people everyone wins and loses. Ive never seen worse sour losers than in Jiu Jitsu. Just think if we acted this way when getting hamburgers at McDonald's or was in line at Walmart. I don't understand the revenge but just know it exists like road rage. I like how Dom is open with it 🙏

    Don't start $hit and there won't be $hit. I'll bet drunkard won't do that again. He learned a lesson that night for sure. What would I have done? Prolly not an armbar. My tendency is for a shoulder lock from the top versus the armbar. Staying on top to control without being on your own back (as with the armbar) is a higher percentage and less risk for me. The kimura from technical mount/north south is where it is for me. I'm not criticizing ADCC. He made the choice that worked for him.
